Smye-Rumsby ltd has been supplying and installing Close Circuit Television for some 20 years into churches, schools, ships, prisons, town centres, and retail shops.

Modern technology will allow a customer to use their LAN network to connect cameras and storage devices without the necessity to install the coaxial and power required for the analogue systems. PoE (Power over Ethernet) allows cameras to use in most cases the network cabling for their power.

Recently installations include Swanscombe High Street; four cameras using RF links back to a recorder accessible by a VPN broadband, and the Seacat Manannan operated by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company for improved visibility around the craft.
